About Us

In 1988 Michael Kuiperi founded Checkmate Security Services N.V. in Philipsburg, St. Maarten Netherlands Antilles. Michael’s background undoubtedly helped to shape the company to successful entrepreneurial organization it is today. As a master in human relationships, Michael was able to gather around him very dedicated staff and employees. After 20 years on the job, Michael and Checkmate Security Team St. Maarten are hard at work protecting and insuring client interests.

 

Michael has served as an Island-wide security consultant, EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic) and Board member of several community non-profit organizations, including the St. Maarten Sea Rescue Foundation, Emergency 24 Medical Division, Windward Islands Emergency Medical Services (W.I.E.M.S.), Red Cross, Disaster Recovery Group and the Kiwanis Club.

 

 

 

Andrea Brookes
Andrea Brookes joined Checkmate's team in 1995. She became the financial director in 1998 and is now in charge of operations and finances. Andrea's dedication and hard-working character was exactly what our team was looking for and we are delighted to have her among our senior management staff.
